  • offering at least three-year bachelor's degrees or postgraduate master's or doctoral degrees

The Republic of Azerbaijan is divided into 59 districts (Azerbaijani: rayonlar), 11 cities (Azerbaijani: şəhərlər), and one autonomous republic (Azerbaijani: muxtar respublika). The districts are further subdivided into municipalities (Azerbaijani: bələdiyyə). The majority of higher education institutions that meet the uniRank selection criteria are located in the Absheron district, situated in the eastern part of the country. Absheron hosts Azerbaijan's capital, Baku, and is the most populated district in Azerbaijan. The Higher Education System in Austria

The Austrian higher education system is under the responsibility of the federal government and regulated by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung) in coordination with local authorities.

Types of higher education institutions in Austria

There are three main types of higher education institutions in Austria:

  1. Universities: universitäten are academic institutions that offer scientific education and research at all levels, including undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.
  2. Universities of Applied Sciences: fachhochschulen focus on professional education and offer bachelor's and master's programs in specific fields, but not doctoral degrees.
  3. University Colleges of Teacher Education: pädagogische Hochschulen are specialized institutions that train teachers in cooperation with universities.

Access to higher education in Austria
