Founded in 1945, the Universidad del Valle (University of the Valley) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Cali (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Valle del Cauca. This institution also has branch campuses in Buga, Tuluá, Palmira, Buenaventura and Caicedonia Yumbo. Officially recognized by the Ministerio de Educación Nacional, Colombia (Ministry of National Education of Colombia), Universidad del Valle (UNIVALLE) is a very large sized (uniRank enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational Colombian higher education institution. Universidad del Valle (UNIVALLE) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
