Established in 1499, the Universidad de Alcalá (University of Alcalá) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Alcalá de Henares (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Community of Madrid. This institution also has a branch campus in Guadalajara.
