Established in 1991, the Universitat de Lleida (University of Lleida) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Lleida (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Catalonia. This institution also has a branch campus in Barcelona and Madrid. Established in 1993, the unit adopted the Anglo-Saxon model, featuring a single library with a territorial presence across five campuses (Jaume Porta Library, Health Sciences Library, the ETSEAFIV, Biblioteca de Lletres, and Biblioteca de Plan de la Massa - Igualada).
