Established in 1948, the University of Ghana is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Legon (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Greater Accra. This institution also has a branch campus in Korle-Bu and Accra City. Officially recognized by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission, University of Ghana (UG) is a very large sized (uniRank enrollment range: over-50,000 students) coeducational Ghanaian higher education institution.
