Founded in 2013, the Universitas Telkom (Telkom University) is a for-profit private higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the metropolis of Bandung (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), West Java. This institution also has a branch campus in Jakarta. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Universitas Telkom (Tel-U) is a large sized (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational Indonesian higher education institution. Universitas Telkom (Tel-U) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor's degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.   • Telkom University Open Library is a brand for the Unit of Scientific Resources & Library (SDK & Library) at Telkom University, which operates under Deputy Rector I.
  • Telkom University Open Library holds a collection of over 129,575 titles with a total of 193,033 copies. It received an "A" accreditation from the National Library of Indonesia in 2015.
  • Since 2014, SDK & Library Telkom University has been developing the concept of an "open library" based on three main principles:
    1. Open to receiving all types of knowledge.
    2. Open to sharing knowledge with other knowledge management systems.
    3. Open to anyone who wants to learn.
  • In its operational implementation, the "Open Library" concept is supported by the development of information technology library systems to continuously improve services, databases, and library collections.
  • Telkom University also aims for its library to be as beneficial as possible to the Telkom University community and the wider public. Therefore, Telkom University Open Library initiates activities to promote literacy, such as "Telkom University Literacy Event," "Library Open Discussion," book donation drives, sponsored library programs in remote areas, and education on anti-plagiarism.
