Universitas Islam Malang offers numerous study abroad opportunities with over 60 overseas universities from approximately 25 countries in collaboration with Unisma. UNISMA has implemented various international programs aimed at achieving international recognition. For instance, the non-degree activity (BIPA) welcomed 61 students from 12 countries, including Thailand, Japan, the United States, South Korea, England, Egypt, Syria, Tajikistan, Palestine, Belgium, Libya, and Yemen. In 2020, 8 students from Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies in Uzbekistan participated in Student Exchange (Inbound Student Mobility) with credit transfers at Unisma. In 2021, Unisma students engaged in Student Exchange (Outbound Student Mobility) with credit transfers at University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), involving 11 students sent to three countries: Malaysia, Thailand, and Russia. Additionally, 10 students from Uzbekistan and Ukraine attended the Summer Course. Moreover, in 2020, 30 Unisma students undertook credit transfers at Moscow University Samara Branch in Russia. Continuing in 2021, 17 Unisma students participated in Student Exchange (Outbound Student Mobility) with credit transfers at UTHM, and another 8 students engaged in international Internship/PKL (Outbound Student Mobility) activities in Malaysia and Thailand.
