Alzahra University library was established in 1343 with a collection of 3000 volumes of books and journals in Persian and English.
In 1396, a new central library building with an area of 6890m was opened on 7 floors to accommodate the expanding collection and increasing number of students.
The library is organized into different sections, including Farsi Reference, Persian Books, official offices, technical and electronic services, digital archives, information office, blind library, and thesis sections.
The library's collection includes books (print and digital), theses (print and digital), visual publications, and audiovisual materials mainly in Persian, Arabic, and English.
In 1399, the Special Library of the Blind Books was opened, adding Braille books to the library collection.
The library's digital resources, including Latin Books and University theses, are available online through Azarsa Library software via personal profiles. Additionally, the university's digital archive was launched to provide access to academic resources on the World Network.
The Central Library serves as an important research infrastructure for professors, researchers, and students.
