Overview

Founded in 1980, the Caribbean Maritime University is a for-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large city of Kingston (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Youth of Jamaica, Caribbean Maritime University (CMU) is a small sized (uniRank enrollment range: 5,000-5,999 students) coeducational Jamaican higher education institution. Caribbean Maritime University (CMU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor's degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
