Founded in 1949, the Hokkaido University of Education is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the metropolis of Sapporo (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Hokkaido. This institution also has branch campuses in Asahikawa, Iwamizawa, Hakodate and Kushiro.
