National Council for Science, Higher Education and Technological Development

The National Council for Science, Higher Education and Technological Development (Nacionalno vijeće za znanost, visoko obrazovanje i tehnološki razvoj) is a Croatian government agency responsible for the development and implementation of policies related to science, higher education and technological development. It was established in 2003 and is based in Zagreb. The Council is responsible for the development of national strategies and policies in the fields of science, higher education and technological development. It works closely with the Ministry of Science and Education to ensure that the policies are in line with the government’s objectives. The Council also works with other government agencies, universities, research institutes and other stakeholders to ensure that the policies are implemented effectively. The National Council for Science, Higher Education and Technological Development is also responsible for the evaluation and accreditation of higher education institutions in Croatia. It works with the Ministry of Science and Education to ensure that the institutions meet the necessary standards and are able to provide quality education. The Council also works with the Ministry of Science and Education to ensure that the institutions are able to provide the necessary resources for research and development. The Nacionalno vijeće za znanost, visoko obrazovanje i tehnološki razvoj plays an important role in the development of higher education in Croatia.
