Established in 1993, the Ministry of Health of Cambodia is the government agency responsible for formulating and implementing health policies and strategies in the country. Its main role in higher education is to oversee the training and education of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses and other allied health professionals. The Ministry of Health works closely with universities and other educational institutions to ensure that their programs meet the standards and requirements set forth by the ministry. Additionally, the ministry is responsible for licensing and accrediting healthcare professionals, as well as regulating and monitoring the quality of healthcare services provided in the country.
