Established in 1974, the National Institute of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (NIHERST) is a government organization in Trinidad and Tobago that is responsible for promoting and supporting the development of science and technology in the country. The organization works to enhance the quality of research and education in science and technology and to promote innovation and entrepreneurship. NIHERST provides funding and other resources to support research and education in science and technology and also provides training and other support to researchers and educators in the country.
