The Associated Colleges of the Twin Cities (ACTC) is a consortium of five private liberal arts colleges located in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota, United States. The member institutions are Augsburg University, Hamline University, Macalester College, St. Catherine University and the University of St. Thomas. ACTC was founded in 1975 with the mission of promoting collaboration and cooperation among its member institutions and to enhance the quality and accessibility of liberal arts education in the region. The organization achieves this by offering a range of shared services and programs, such as cross-registration, joint library resources and collaborative faculty development initiatives. ACTC also sponsors a number of interdisciplinary programs and centers, such as the Center for Global Environmental Education, the Center for Scholarship and Civic Engagement and the Institute for Advanced Study. Through its activities and collaborations, the Associated Colleges of the Twin Cities seeks to foster a vibrant and dynamic academic community in the Twin Cities region and to provide students with a rich and diverse educational experience that prepares them for success in a global society.
