Founded in 1917, the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (Pontifical Catholic University of Peru) is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large metropolis of Lima (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministerio de Educación, Peru (Ministry of Education of Peru), Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) is a large sized (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational Peruvian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Catholic religion.
