A standout feature of the university library is its remarkable collection of old and rare documents, which includes ancient books, periodicals, manuscripts, diplomas, and iconographic materials. These unique works, dating back to the 16th to 19th centuries, form the prestigious Special Collections fund, which is proudly displayed in the Hall of the Museum of the History of Medicine and Pharmacy.

One of the oldest treasures in the Special Collections fund is the 1532 publication "Epitome opusculi de curandis pusculis ulceribus & doloribus morbi Gallici, mali franzos appellati, Basileae," authored by Laurentio Phrisio.
