Founded in 1944, the Moscow State Institute of International Relations is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large metropolis of Moscow (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). This institution also has branch campuses in Geneva, Tashkent and Odintsovo. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) is a medium sized (uniRank enrollment range: 9,000-9,999 students) coeducational Russian higher education institution.
