Established in 1891, the Göteborgs universitet (University of Gothenburg) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Göteborg (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Vastra Gotaland County. This institution also has a branch campus in Dals Långed (Campus Steneby) and Mariestad.
