Established in 1955, the University of Zimbabwe is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Harare (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development of Zimbabwe, University of Zimbabwe (UZ) is a large sized (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational Zimbabwean higher education institution. University of Zimbabwe (UZ) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
